This is just a simple four to the floor kick drum pattern at 120 bpm. I created the kick itself by layering various synth timbres in rob papen's albino plugin. Processing was also applied such as compression, eq and using subtle distortion in specific frequency areas to get it sounding like this. This was originally composed at the keyboard as an improv on multiple tracks. I sped it up to 210 bpm and ran it through the vita virtual synthesizer as "soundtrack percussion", amps off, s and r filters on and lots of delay. A virtual drum loop with a human touch. Heavy beat. I was inspired by urbexshauny's dark atmos, (http://freesound. Org/people/urbexshauny/sounds/367611/) so i threw the excellent "punch" drum synth at it, with a bit of indigo2 virus and a stack of compression everywhere. Bpm is at 90, the loop is from about 5. 10 thru the end.

A laid back hip hop beat ready for looping. Mixed with audacity, deep drum is risset drum from audacity, tones are generated by audacity, and hi hat hits are recorder through a midi player. About 120 bmp, but not exactly. The beat isn't exactly on beat, which produces the laid back feeling.

Three quick samples of the gear one mk1000 on kick (+ a single audio technica at2020 overhead on the rest of the kit). Recorded straight into a tascam us-1800 in a lousy room with a less-than-optimal 22" mapex kick drum. Each quick loop / snippet is 1) presented in mono / processed with compression and some eq (mostly a 6dbish scoop at around 300hz on the mk1000 and 80hz rolloff on the 2020 with about 5db less on the mk1000 than the 2020), then 2) presented exactly as recorded / no processing at all save normalization, mk1000 panned hard left channel, at2020 panned hard right. The first two samples are the mk1000 in the resonant head cutout, the third is the mk1000 positioned about 4" from the head and just about 2" from dead center of the drum.

A bass made with one oscillator and drums from yamaha qy-10. Mixed in a noisy mixer. The qy-10 is also acting as sequencer. The bass sound is made on my modular. 101% analog. Including reverb and delay. Yep, now i have got a midi to cv module.
